About The Position

Performs operation to prepare and spring up frames and/or sub-assemblies for upholstered and exposed wood frames. Works on a variety of models as assigned performing preparation, changing set-ups. Check the assembly, spring up and frame for level performing all duties necessary to ensure completion of work is to quantity and quality standards.

Requirements

Ability to read frame tickets to identify specified materials.
Proficiency in using a hammer, clip gun, clinch gun, and staple gun.
Ability to work on a variety of models.
Ability to ensure work is completed to quantity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Clip rails for frame builders.
Take built frame to workstation.
Read frame ticket to see what is specified to be used in frame in regard to type of spring.
Chip all rails.
Install proper nosag springs into clips.
Beat clips shut with hammer and shoot with clip gun to secure.
Attach tie wire with clinch gun then cover springs with spring cover material.
Install propex or cardboard to in arms/corners of frame and attach with staple gun.
Roll and push the job off their on the roller conveyor or slide the sprung frame to line-up.
Keep workstation stoked and ready.
Keep workstation and area clean.
May perform other duties/special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
