About The Position

The 2nd Shift CNC Specialist will join Durex Industries, a part of Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS) and the Spirax Group. Durex Industries has over 40 years of expertise in the thermal control business, serving as a trusted custom thermal solutions supplier and engineering design partner across various industry sectors including process industries, life sciences, plastics processing, food and packaging, aerospace, defense, and security. The company offers innovative bespoke solutions and provides engineering, manufacturing, testing, laboratory, and quality assurance services.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Okuma CNC machine tools.
• Extensive experience using Okuma OSP Controls.
• Experience with Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, Okuma MU Series 5-axis machining centers, and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
• Ability to create setup sheets, tooling documentation, work instructions, and machining standards.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize Okuma CNC machine tools using OSP Controls.
• Support production on Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, MU Series 5-Axis machining centers, and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
• Develop and improve CNC machining processes for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn applications.
• Generate and maintain setup documentation, tooling lists, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and machining standards.
