About The Position

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! We’re looking for a CNC Specialist who takes a safety-first approach and actively contributes to a strong safety culture while thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in CNC machining and passionate about continuous process improvement, with a collaborative mindset that enables effective work across engineering, operations, and quality teams. You are proactive in identifying issues and driving solutions to improve yield and efficiency, bring a hands-on and detail-oriented approach to complex fabrication challenges, and communicate clearly while working effectively as part of a team. You will work onsite at our Devens, MA office, reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Proficient in setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes for complex parts with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam)
  • Experience developing and improving machining processes or designs
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and communicate requirements clearly
  • Capable of lifting 40+ lbs and performing physical tasks such as pushing, reaching, kneeling, or crawling
  • Experience monitoring machinery for maintenance and safety needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer use
  • Strong team player with a positive and effective communication style

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to EH2 policies and supporting colleagues in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design engineers, process engineers, machinists, quality inspectors, and operations to improve machining processes
  • Generate and manage CAM programs using Mastercam or similar software
  • Improve first-pass yield by incorporating inspection feedback into program and process updates
  • Develop rework and repair processes to recover MRB stock and enable material release
  • Support implementation and refinement of vacuum workholding systems and related fixturing
  • Contribute to development of next-generation fabrication techniques for metal parts
  • Assist with custom tooling design, testing, validation, and production implementation
  • Support R&D engineering efforts related to cell and electrolyzer design development
  • Participate in new machine selection and manufacturing line expansion planning
  • Communicate progress and updates on development initiatives to cross-functional teams
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and logs
