Write programs that follow sequences on routers using CAD/CAM software for CNC machines across all Atec divisions. Review drawings and models to determine the tooling and fixtures needed, prepare setup sheets with tool lists and detailed setup instructions, and create manufacturing-aid drawings and special-tooling drawings as needed. Work with machinists to resolve programming, cutting, and tooling problems during setup and production, and assist with first-run programs while ensuring program changes are saved in the master file. Review and simulate CAD/CAM programs to identify machining-efficiency improvements and estimate production run hours. The role may involve temporary assignments at various Atec facilities to support operations, along with other related duties. Activities must comply with Atec AS9100/ISO policies; deviations must be reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor. The position also supports Atec’s quality system by understanding the Quality Policy, objectives, procedures, and work instructions; completing required records; participating in continuous-improvement activities and required training; cooperating with auditors; and reporting deviations. The role requires effective communication, the ability to provide detailed written and verbal instructions, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively with little or no supervision.
