About The Position
Specialty Tooling Systems (STS) is seeking CNC Setup & Shop Assistants to join their team! The responsibilities will include working with an STS Machinist in setting up jobs - including preparing the machine for operation. When not setting up, you will be assigned general shop duties.
Requirements
- Experience as a CNC Setup person
- Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
- Candidate must have valid driver’s license
- Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
- Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of a CNC Machinist, prepare the machine and set up the jobs
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in general shop duties when no setup tasks are assigned
- Keep work area clean.
- Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
- Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
- Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
