About The Position

Big Bolt LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Programmer with DMG MORI experience to join their manufacturing team in Bloomingdale, IL. This is a hands-on role focused on setting up, programming, operating, and troubleshooting CNC equipment for custom and non-standard specialty fasteners. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading prints, making program adjustments, selecting tooling, and inspecting their own work.

Requirements

• DMG MORI CNC experience is required
• Previous CNC setup and programming experience
• Experience with CNC turning and/or milling
• Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Strong precision measurement and inspection skills
• Experience making CNC program adjustments
• Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work

Nice To Haves

• Fastener or specialty manufacturing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up and program DMG MORI CNC machines
• Operate CNC equipment to produce precision specialty fasteners
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Select appropriate tooling, offsets, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters
• Make program and machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify specifications
• Troubleshoot machining, programming, and setup issues
• Work independently to identify and resolve production challenges
• Support continuous improvement and efficient manufacturing processes
