About The Position

To operate an automatic lathe to produce customer parts that meet certain specifications. They need to know how to read blueprints and use basic mathematics to create the parts.

Requirements

  • High school education, no special training required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience Programming, Editing, Setting-Up and Running Multi-Axis Swiss Turning machines (Citizen), M32's, Nexturn, off line C.A.M experience (PartMaker) and Mazak Mill-turn and turning centers with live tooling for High Precision Manufacturing Company.
  • They need to know how to read blueprints and use basic mathematics to create the parts.

Responsibilities

  • Plans work assignments by studying drawings, blueprints, work instructions and manuals.
  • Programs parts from blueprints and work instructions to accomplish machining in the most efficient manner.
  • Sets-up equipment by changing tool holders, work holding devices and selecting the proper tools to accomplish machining the item by setting adjustments to match specifications and testing tolerances.
  • Verifies parts by using precision measuring instruments.
  • Documents production rates and tooling changes by completing records and input into computerized data collection system.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, etc.
  • Accomplishes operations and organization missions by completing related results as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
