About The Position

The CNC Router Operator is responsible for operating CNC routers to cut and shape materials, primarily plywood. This role involves material handling, machine operation, quality inspection, and maintaining a clean work environment. The operator will follow work orders, ensure accurate cuts, and manage scrap materials. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Ability to use suction lift to move plywood sheets.
  • Ability to slide plywood sheets and milling boards.
  • Ability to load/select work orders on a touch screen and initiate cuts.
  • Ability to pull cut parts and stack them.
  • Ability to break up plywood scrap and place it in a scrap buggy.
  • Ability to sweep the floor around the work area/CNC.
  • Ability to push frame buggies and scrap buggies.
  • Ability to roll milling boards through a vacuum system.
  • Ability to clean router tables using an air restricted blow gun and/or vacuum.
  • Ability to operate a forklift to restock plywood sheets.
  • Ability to perform weekly clean-up tasks, including climbing on the machine.
  • Ability to perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.

Responsibilities

  • Use suction lift to move plywood sheets to milling board on table for inspection and prep prior to loading the router.
  • Slide plywood sheet and milling board from roller table to router and fit into place.
  • Load/Select work order on touch screen and initiate cut.
  • Pull cut parts and stack on frame buggy.
  • Break up plywood scrap and place in scrap buggy, then sweep floor around work area/CNC.
  • Push frame buggy to line up and push scrap buggy when 1/2 full to grinder conveyor and dump scraps.
  • Roll milling board through vacuum system to remove dust and then slide board back to inspect/load table.
  • Clean router table using air restricted blow gun and/or vacuum to remove excess dust.
  • Use forklift to restock plywood sheets by picking up a hack of plywood (35 sheets) from stock and take it to router.
  • Perform weekly clean-up by hitting the 'E' Stop switch and climbing on the machine to wipe down.
  • May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
