About The Position

The CNC Router Operator sets up and operates a CNC router, creating individualized parts, to meet production demand in a safe way, ensuring quality metrics are met for our customers. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This position cross trains to other positions of the paint line.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, labels and work instructions.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
  • Ability to count and measure equipment and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.
  • Ability to use and read a tape measure.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties with direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates ability to complete all paperwork necessary for the position.
  • Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such a level as is determined in the company’s employee handbook.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
  • Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
  • Ability to operate a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Prefer one to three years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating CNC machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools or machines to complete projects.
  • Read detailed blueprints to learn how to assemble products.
  • Inspect parts to insure they meet quality specifications.
  • Drill, assemble and package panels.
  • Track inventory.
  • Troubleshoot production line machinery.
