As a leader on the CAD/CAM team, you will be an active contributor to the factory volume ramp and standardization efforts. This role provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship for second-shift programming staff, managing workflows and overseeing training for both full-time employees and contractors. You will make critical decisions regarding personnel, safety, and production priorities, provide guidance for drawing interpretation and GD&T application, and facilitate a seamless "pass-down" process. This role also involves translating first-shift requirements into actionable second-shift tasks, providing comprehensive reporting, and offering high-level technical support for NX programming across various equipment platforms. You will step in to troubleshoot complex code or toolpath issues, provide real-time manufacturing feedback during the development phase for program optimization, and adjust team focus based on machine uptime, part urgency, or staffing fluctuations. Additionally, you will generate and maintain CNC programs, initiate and lead process improvement projects, and communicate effectively within a matrixed organization, working effectively in a fast-paced environment while driving positive change.
