Requirements

6+ years CNC programming experience
10+ years experience with cutting tools
Strong knowledge of milling, turning, grinding, and machining techniques
Ability to program using commercial CAM software
Ability to read complex engineering drawings, DXF/DWG files, and blueprints
Experience with ERP systems (Global Shop a plus)
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to lift 30lbs and stand for extended periods
Willingness to work early/late shifts, weekends, or overtime when needed

Responsibilities

Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills and lathes to ensure efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
Assist machinists with program interpretation, setups, troubleshooting, and machining best practices.
Collaborate with the Shop Manager to support job scheduling and workflow priorities.
Maintain accurate job information in Global Shop, including program revisions, material data, and router updates.
Assist with job quoting by analyzing machining time, tooling needs, and process steps.
Ensure machining steps meet customer specs and coordinate with vendors, tooling, and purchasing teams.
