About The Position

We are seeking a CNC Programmer to set up CNC waterjet, laser, and plasma-table machinery for a variety of parts in a job-shop setting. The role involves programming complex parts and materials using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, proving out programs on the shop floor, and working with machinists to refine and optimize machining processes. The position is available on either the 1st or 2nd shift.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and material properties.
• Ability to work from 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Familiarity with GD&T and precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Program laser/plasma tables and waterjet machines using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for a wide range of complex parts and materials.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds based on materials and specifications.
• Set up and prove out programs on the shop floor, making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with machinists to refine and optimize machining processes.
• Maintain program files and documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
• Troubleshoot issues related to programming, tooling, and machining operations.
• Ensure all parts meet quality standards and tolerances.
