The Programmer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of programs for turret punch, laser cutting machines, and dimension flats. Responsibilities: Create and maintain programs for each piece of blanking and welding equipment. Maintains and/or changes the floor routings and BOMs required for processing the parts through the sheet metal department. Resolve programming issues.

Requirements

• H. S. Diploma
• Must be at least 18 years old to work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints
• Ability to interact effectively with both production and engineering employees
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and PDM/ERP systems (AS/400, iSeries, MAPICS)
• Demonstrated knowledge of creating AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ProE
• Proficient in SigmaNest, Striker, and G-code/M-code
• Demonstrated knowledge of fabrication sheet metal processes including punch press, brake press, laser, and CNC)
