About The Position

Plansee USA LLC is seeking a CNC Programmer for their Plansee site in Franklin, USA. This role specializes in transforming semi-finished molybdenum and tungsten products into complex components, leveraging decades of precision manufacturing and engineering excellence. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated team where local expertise meets the global knowledge and values of the Plansee Group. This is an hourly position.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in reading, writing or interpreting CNC programs.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with a strong background in precision machining (milling, turning, drilling).
Entry-level knowledge of CAD/CAM software is required.
Basic understanding of MRP functions in a manufacturing environment.
Strong configuration management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Effective communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

A two-year degree or certification in manufacturing/machining technology preferred.
Experience with Okuma format desired.
Experience with high performance materials such as molybdenum or tungsten is a plus.
Experience with Siemens Nx preferred.
Previous experience using SAP desired.

Responsibilities

Create, modify and verify CNC machine programs for products to be manufactured.
Create, modify and verify 3D Solid Models of products to be manufactured for programming and inspection use.
Work in cross-functional teams in supporting roles in Manufacturing Engineering.
Create, modify and verify technical drawings and documentation related to in process manufacturing processes, tooling and fixturing.
Ensure ISO compliance for all processes related to manufacture a product.
Interface with shop floor, sales and customer to determine product specifications and maximize reliability and acceptance.
Follow the manufacturing process of new products to ensure they are on schedule and delivery dates are met.
Implement revision changes of a product and ensure that all necessary documentation and tools such as fixtures, CNC programs, drawings, etc. are updated.
Provide hands-on production support at a moderate-skilled level related to manufacturing processes, machining best practices, setup and inspection techniques.
