About The Position

Develops and maintains software programs and libraries for CNC Fabrication equipment (turret punches, lasers, combination turret/laser machines, press brakes, etc.) and related automation. Supports additional activities related to the CNC fabrication area as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years related experience or training
  • 3-5 years of related experience or training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook, Internet Explorer, Auto-CAD, strong 3D modeling (SolidWorks).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming.
  • Mental and visual attention with concentration on detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree (A.A.) preferred (Manufacturing Technology or related) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Amada and Mazak CNC programming software is preferred (Amada VPSS 4IE Blank, Dr. Abe Bend, Radan).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the evaluation and closure of technical NCMR’s (Non-Conforming Material Reports)
  • Provides technical support for the team across all shifts (manufacturing operators, maintenance associates, engineers, and supervisors)
  • Identify and support “lights out” operations through related programming activities.
  • Serve as a backup when needed for the development of MPCD’s (Manufacturing Process Control Document) for fabricated products.
  • Evaluates and closes action item requests generated from pre-production review activities (NORP / Proview)
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
