About The Position

FAIR-RITE PRODUCTS CORP is seeking a full-time CNC Programmer to join their team. This role involves programming complex parts, troubleshooting CNC software, developing cutting tools and fixtures, and operating CNC machines with high precision. The position requires adherence to quality, environmental, and safety standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 2 – 4 years on the job training and or experience related to CNC Programming
• Must be able to follow written and oral communication
• Knowledge of computer-aided drafting software (CAD) and or Solidworks
• Knowledge of computer-aided machining (CAM)
• Knowledge of CNC programming
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to use data collection / SPC
• PC / Computer skills
• Must have good problem solving skills
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Must be highly detail oriented
• Ability to accurately handle all hand held precise measuring instruments
• Strong mathematical skills
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

Nice To Haves

• AAS – Machine Tool Technology or Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate
• 2 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or other relevant role
• Ability to use CMS / ERP system is recommended

Responsibilities

• Program complex parts in the Vision System.
• Program complex parts in the CMM.
• Write programs for the CNC’s.
• Troubleshoot and correct issues with the CNC software.
• Develop cutting tools and fixtures for the CNC’s.
• Run/setup CNC’s, detect issues and make corrections.
• Assist fellow toolmakers when needed.
• Lead by example demonstrating proper shop techniques.
• Perform work with tolerance of + / – .00025 or better.
• Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards for which Fair Rite is certified.
• Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
