About The Position

The CNC Technician is responsible for creation of programs for CNC equipment. They will investigate and recommend changes to shop floor production processes involving CNC equipment, follow engineering specifications, and coach machine operators in the proper operation and maintenance of equipment. This role will serve as a liaison with maintenance, engineering, support staff, and operators to ensure equipment is best utilized. The technician will also document necessary information, keep their workspace and equipment clean and well-organized, and recommend/approve/make changes to improve efficiencies and equipment utilization. Additionally, they will identify training opportunities within the team and set actions for improvement.

Requirements

• Able to use required CAD systems (AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, Solid Edge)
• Ability to use manual wood working machinery (table/band saw, router, drills, sanders, etc)
• Must have knowledge of computer aided design and manufacturing software
• Must have superior computer programming skills
• Must have ability to write and read complex drawings
• Must have ability to read blueprints
• Must be highly detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment (experience in a manufacturing environment is needed)
• Must have good mathematical skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Must be detail oriented, and self motivated

Nice To Haves

• Two years CAD/CAM experience preferred
• One year 3D modeling experience preferred
