About The Position

We are seeking a CNC Programmer to create programs for large, project-based parts used in submarines and other large complex fabrications. This role involves working with advanced machining technology, including 5-axis machines and Digital Twin software. You will be part of the AT&F Family, a company founded in 1940 that builds, protects, energizes, and moves the world through metal fabrication. AT&F has multiple facilities with over 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 200 Team Members, and is in its fourth generation of family leadership.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in CNC Programming with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Siemens Sinumerik One
Siemens Controller experience is a plus
Desire to work with the latest machining technology in terms of machining equipment, controller technology, and Digital Twin
Experience in dealing with lower run quantities per part
Ability to interpret blueprint/drawing specifications and GD&T
Applied experience with various inspection methods (hand gages, CMM, etc.)
Basic computer skills for email, web-based communications

Responsibilities

Create programs for large, project-based parts
Review engineering prints, select and acquire appropriate tooling
Create, catalogue and maintain CNC programs and set-up procedures
Determine machining sequence and setup requirements
Schedule equipment PM and contact service technicians to repair equipment
Work with machinist troubleshooting issues with programs and approach to completing the projects on large scale 5 axis machines (VTL and HBM)
Assist with quoting of new projects
Perform trial runs in Digital Twin software to verify program and machine settings
Inspection and measurement of machined components to confirm project is progressing correctly
Assist in training and developing less experienced AT&F machinists
