About The Position

The CNC Programmer is responsible for formulating efficient operational programs to maximize machine utilization and product quality while meeting customer expectations. This role involves completing and maintaining program documentation, responding to short-term shop needs to ensure NC machines operate at maximum efficiency, and supporting cost reduction initiatives. The programmer will stay current on new processes, tools, and methods, applying them to NC manufacturing, and maintain open communication with all personnel. They will also coordinate with the Manufacturing Engineer to update routers for part programs and perform other assigned work-related duties, while complying with all company and HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience or 5–7 years of machine operation and programming experience.
  • Competency in 3D modeling systems and model creation.
  • SolidWorks experience and model creation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Utilize Esprit CAD/CAM software.
  • Experience programming Mazak INTEGREX E-670HW, INTEGREX E650H2, and CT4500M preferred.
  • Mazatrol programming preferred.
  • Experience programming large offshore BOPs and other equipment preferred.
  • Experience programming large G&L, vertical machining centers, and HBMs utilizing Fanuc controls preferred.
  • Experience with Vericut and creating probing routines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to short-term shop needs to keep NC machines operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying and reporting cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stay current on new processes, tools, and methods, and apply them to NC manufacturing.
  • Maintain open communication with all personnel, accepting suggestions and instruction.
  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing Engineer to update routers for created or modified part programs.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
