About The Position
Our client is a leading precision manufacturer serving world-class customers across aerospace, defence, medical devices, robotics, renewable energy, and advanced industrial markets. We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with strong 5-axis machining and Mastercam experience to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working on technically challenging components, optimizing machining strategies, and supporting production from programming through completion.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on 5-axis CNC programming experience
- Strong Mastercam programming skills
- Experience with SolidWorks and CAD/CAM software
- Knowledge of Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controls
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tooling, workholding, speeds, feeds, and blueprint reading
- Experience supporting both milling and turning environments
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize CNC programs for complex precision-machined components
- Support 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining operations
- Work closely with operators, setup personnel, and production teams
- Develop fixtures, setup sheets, inspection documentation, and machining strategies
- Troubleshoot programming and machining challenges to improve efficiency and quality
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Contribute to projects supporting aerospace, defence, medical, robotics, and industrial customers
