The role involves analyzing specifications, programming CNC machines using CAM software, setting up and calibrating equipment, performing trial runs, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of experience programming and setting up 3-axis CNC mills.
Strong understanding of basic machining practices and mechanical processes.
Solid math skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical details.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Dependable with a commitment to high-quality, precise work standards.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CAM software preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze specifications: Review job orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to calculate dimensions, select tools, and determine machine speeds.
Program CNC machines: Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software to ensure precision and efficiency.
CNC setup & calibration: Set up CNC equipment, calibrate tools, and ensure proper machine function before production.
Perform trial runs & adjustments: Perform trial simulations, adjusting programs as needed to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
Follow all safety standards, wear PPE for the duration of the shift while on the manufacturing floor, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Assist with other areas of production as needed to ensure smooth operations.
