About The Position

Trace-A-Matic is seeking a CNC Programmer to join their team. The role involves supporting new product development, process improvement, daily production support, and project management. The manufacturing engineer will analyze technical data, create shop routings, operations sheets, and necessary processes and equipment to produce high-quality products. Typical processes include milling, lathe operation, honing, plating, CNC programming, assembly, testing, non-destructive testing, dimensional and visual inspection techniques, and electro-mechanical assembly.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Suite
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Basic understanding of typical manufacturing systems: Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Kitting, Batch sizing, Configuration control, Workflow routings
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required, equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Based on requirements from customer orders, plan sequences of operations for machining and assembly of products.
  • Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used that are compatible to available machines.
  • Specifies, design and/or procures special tooling or equipment required to attain product per customer requirement with in budgeted cost and time.
  • Programs CNC machines to effectively and efficiently produce desired product.
  • Participate in the Company’s Corrective Action and MRB Boards.
  • Analyze and resolve machining and tooling issues to avoid problems.
  • Create new or modify existing manufacturing drawings using CAD methodology.
  • Value engineer existing products and processes to reduce cost, lead time and cycle times.
  • Complies with all company policies/procedures.
  • Complies with all military and contractual requirements.
  • Other duties as needed
