This role focuses on creating, refining, and improving multi-axis CNC machine programming and inspection programming to enhance precision and efficiency in manufacturing machine tools and equipment. The programmer will leverage advanced programming techniques to meet stringent quality and performance standards. Responsibilities include performing setup and operation of both CNC and conventional manufacturing machine tools and equipment, ensuring proper calibration, tooling, and machine readiness. The role requires working from blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions to accurately produce hardware that meets design specifications, and utilizing precision measurement tools to verify part dimensions. Collaboration with operators, engineers, and technicians is key, as is creating detailed process plans for inspection and measurement activities. The position also involves providing hands-on training and mentorship to employees and CMM Apprentices, collecting and analyzing measurement data using SPC and MSA techniques, and utilizing Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications for reporting and data management. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement is expected, along with participation in shift crossover meetings and other business-required meetings.
