About The Position

This role involves defining and controlling production processes, including tooling and equipment, and validating design specifications and shop floor applications for new products, tools, or equipment. The position requires developing and maintaining manufacturing methods to support safety, delivery, and cost priorities, while fostering an in-depth understanding of a technical discipline and key business drivers. The individual will contribute to the integration of their team's work with other teams and the broader area. This role requires using judgment to propose solutions outside of set parameters with guidance, and applying prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. The individual will need technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems, potentially using multiple internal sources for decision-making. This is likely an individual contributor role requiring proven interpersonal and time management skills. Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap, support for New Product Introduction, and support for CNC processes are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience).
Minimum of 1 year of CNC experience (programming preferred)
Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.

Responsibilities

Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support the safety, delivery, delivery, cost (SQDC) priorities.
Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
Understand key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.
Support New Product Introduction.
Support CNC processes.
