The CNC Programmer develops, modifies, and maintains CNC programs using CAM software to support production requirements. This role interprets engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and customer technical data packages. The programmer optimizes machining strategies to improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency. They collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Machinists to troubleshoot programming or machining issues and support new product introductions (NPI) through program development, process validation, and first article support. The position involves selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds based on material and part complexity, performing program simulations and verification, and maintaining documentation. The CNC Programmer also assists with root cause analysis, ensures compliance with company procedures and safety standards, provides technical guidance to machinists, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
