This role reports directly to the CNC Programming Supervisor and is responsible for the set-up and programming of CNC machines used in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor (Sheet Metal 3D Modeling).
  • Experience working in Dr. ABE software.
  • Experience working in Enroute23 software.
  • Experience working in AlmaCAM software.
  • Experience working in StreamPunch software.
  • Experience working in StreamBend software.
  • Experience working with any other Nesting/Machining software.
  • Strong skills in Mathematics (Geometry) and calculations.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Machining, Programming Science, or related area.
  • Minimum 2+ years of programming experience.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commute daily to the office.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years' experience with Inventor is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Receive job folders and separate procedures (Turret, Shear, Router).
  • Ensure requested parts are doable based on Stateform fabrication limitations (Tooling, Forming, Sheet sizes and Machine limitations).
  • Program MultiCam CNC Router and AMADA Turret and Salvagnini (S4+P4).
  • Communicate with Breakdown Detailers and Engineering Department for any conflicts regarding drawings and patterns.
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Order Processors and Machine Operators daily in person.
  • Ensure that all required drawings, spreadsheets, bending instructions and notes are available in the job folder.
  • Update designs and programs in case of a design change.
  • Perform quality control of produced parts.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the CNC Programming Supervisor.
