CNC Programmer
About The Position
The Machine Shop Programmer programs and operates machines to cut parts to customer specifications, performs quality control, and troubleshoots programming issues. Reports to the Machine Shop Manager. Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of manual machining experience, CMM operation
- Demonstrated ability to effectively operate shop related tools and equipment
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, drawings and/or technical diagrams – easily hold +/-.003” tolerance
- Use of CAD platforms for tooling design
- Strong communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities
- Works with team of machine operators, welders, engineers and other Machine Shop staff
- Performs First Article Inspections and quality control
- Ensures that machined parts meet customer specifications, drawings and STP files
- Provides mentorship to junior team members
- Maintains equipment, shop cleanliness, and tooling inventory
- Develops set up sheets, tool drawings and other work instructions to be presented
