Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous CNC programming and machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, and/or multi-axis machining centers.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, speeds, feeds, workholding, and cutting conditions.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality precision components.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CNC programming software and/or CAM systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for machining operations based on blueprints, engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Program CNC mills, lathes, and/or machining centers to produce precision components according to established tolerances and quality standards.
  • Determine appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, cutting parameters, and machining sequences to maximize efficiency and part quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Set up and prove out CNC programs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure accurate and repeatable production.
  • Troubleshoot programming, tooling, machining, and production issues to minimize downtime and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work closely with machinists, engineers, quality personnel, and production leadership to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain accurate CNC programs, setup documentation, tooling information, and production records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, tooling life, machining processes, and overall production efficiency.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area.
  • Promptly communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, programming challenges, or production delays to supervisors.
