Requirements

3+ years of experience in CNC programming, CAM programming, or CNC machining
Proficiency with Mastercam or similar CAM software
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
Experience programming precision-machined components with tight tolerances
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in a high-mix, low-volume job shop
Programming and supporting 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis CNC machines
CNC milling and turning experience
Prototype and short-run production environments
Experience with Siemens NX CAM or other advanced CAM systems
Knowledge of process improvement and lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and other CAM software
Develop efficient machining strategies for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers
Review engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
Select tooling, workholding, cutting parameters, and machining sequences
Support machine setups, prove-outs, first-piece inspections, and troubleshooting activities
Improve cycle times, tooling performance, and overall machining efficiency
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to solve manufacturing challenges
Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling documentation, and revision records
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction
