About The Position

The CNC Programmer I develops (3 & 4-axis) NC programs and NC programs utilizing CAD/CAM programs for profiling metallic and non-metallic structural core materials and sub-assemblies for various aircraft applications and panel applications. Monday - Friday 7:00AM to 4:00PM

Requirements

  • Three to five years progressively more responsible experience
  • Extensive technical or specialized knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired in the first two years of college, technical school, or business school.
  • Programming experience with mills and/or routers is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Responsibilities

  • Create and or modify CNC programs for 3-axis and 4-axis machining centers.
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, specifications, and design data to calculate tool selection and machining speeds and feed rates.
  • Design and define machining fixtures.
  • Prototype and ensure the quality of first article parts.
  • Set-up and operate 3-axis and 4 axis machining centers.
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.
  • Prepare work instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with operator training programs.
  • Facilitate CI process.
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
