About The Position
Schivo Medical is a state-of-the-art technical manufacturing company on Long Island is looking to hire a CNC Programmer to set up person to join the team. CNC Programmer and Set Job Overview: Program and Set-Up various CNC milling machines(Okuma, Bridgeport & Mori Seiki)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/trade school certification
- 3 years’ set up experience in house or previous employer.
- Programming: in-house training and trade school or minimum 2 years programming experience.
- CNC Milling Machines experience .
- In-house QSP training
- CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Responsibilities
- Program and set up CNC Milling machines.
- Develop CNC machining process for new projects.
- Maintain effectiveness and efficiency.
- Apply the best strategy and techniques to obtain the most efficient and capable process.
- Selecting appropriate cutting tools and work-holding tools for new projects
- Provide training for machine operators for each new set up/process.
- Update and modify outdated programs, implement the latest cutting techniques, and understanding of lean manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot minor machine errors, program errors.
- Maintain quality and safety control standards.
- Successfully pass First piece inspection and deliver capable process to production team.
- Effectively work with other departments to achieve the common goal
