About The Position

Simson Products, a Collective Manufacturing entity, is seeking a visionary CNC Programming & Processing Lead to serve as the technical cornerstone of our facility. This role is designed for a leader who excels at translating complex engineering challenges into streamlined high-efficiency production processes using the latest in multi-axis technology and light touch automation.

Requirements

• 7+ years in precision CNC programming and setup, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Deep expertise in G-code, GD&T, and programming toolpaths.
• CAM software experience required, Mastercam preferable.
• Extensive knowledge of custom fixture design and specialized cutting tools for high-performance materials.
• Ability to set up CNC machines and use appropriate tooling to verify conformance to required standards and drawings.
• A proven track record of identifying and rectifying bottlenecks and operational malfunctions independently.
• Strong ability to document standard work instructions and collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Sales teams.
• Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize advanced CNC programs for 3-, 4-axis mills and lathes using Mastercam.
• Lead the transition to newer/alternative machining platforms, ensuring seamless integration.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point, training and mentoring a team of machinists on best practices for tooling, work holding, and safety.
• Drive Continuous Improvement by reducing setup times and cycle times through Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Partner closely with engineering to provide DFM feedback, ensuring new parts are optimized for production before they reach the floor.
• Manage the shop’s fixturing library and create strategies to minimize idle time and maximize set up and production efficiency.
