About The Position

Standard Iron is seeking a dependable CNC Press Brake Machine Operator to support its manufacturing operations. This role involves setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment to form metal components according to engineering specifications and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail and a commitment to quality to help maintain efficient workflow, ensure accurate parts, and support on-time delivery. Requirements

  • Ability to successfully complete forming and general shop assessments within the first week of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely.
  • Read and write in English to complete operational documentation and preventive maintenance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous metal forming or press brake experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and execute sequenced instructions, work orders, and blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications.
  • Perform proper machine start-up and shutdown procedures.
  • Set up, load, and operate press brake or punch press equipment according to production requirements.
  • Monitor part quality by evaluating dimensions and identifying defects, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Use metal finishing tools such as grinders and abrasives to meet surface finish requirements.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment including cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks.
  • Utilize fixtures, templates, and other material control devices to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies.
  • Assist with additional production tasks as needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the work environment.
  • Read and write in English to complete operational documentation and preventive maintenance requirements.
