About The Position

The CNC Operator operates various CNC cutting equipment, including plasma and laser cutters, and ensures parts meet quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The position is with ATM Steel, All Things Metal Industries’ structural steel fabrication and erection team, which works on large-scale projects in the Phoenix area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch. Occasional Friday half days may occur depending on department needs. Compensation starts at $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

No prior experience is required; training is provided.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and make decisions based on them.
Excellent communication skills.
Forklift operation skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

Experience with reach forklifts and basic hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including part tolerances.

Responsibilities

Load and unload material from machines.
Neatly palletize processed parts.
Use a forklift.
Read blueprints.
Operate multiple CNC machines, including a plasma table, laser table, small-profile tube processor, pipe bender, beamline, and cobot welder.
Set up machines and programs.
Perform in-depth machine maintenance.
Maintain general workplace cleanliness and good housekeeping.
Follow established safety rules and protocols.
Perform additional equipment operation or tasks as directed by the supervisor or CNC manager.
