About The Position

We are seeking CNC Operators for a contract-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating CNC machining centers, supporting production goals, performing quality checks, completing production documentation, and assisting with machine set-up, tooling, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have CNC machining knowledge, manufacturing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a production environment while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Requirements

  • CNC machine operation experience preferred
  • Working CNC knowledge, including troubleshooting and machine adjustments
  • Experience adjusting robot positions using a teach pendant preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to operate CNC equipment, control panels, and production machinery
  • Computer skills required
  • Experience using SAP handheld scanners, calipers, calculators, printers, and production tools preferred
  • Working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance standards preferred
  • Ability to perform quality checks and follow production procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing setting preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move as needed throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in a production environment with noise and machinery
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery in various CNC machining centers
  • Set machine controls according to program requirements
  • Install fixtures and prepare machines for production
  • Support machine set-up, tooling repair, and troubleshooting within assigned cell area
  • Perform preliminary first-piece checks and make tool adjustments as needed
  • Adjust tools to maintain proper dimensions and overall part quality
  • Manually position and remove tools as required
  • Perform quality checks on production parts according to quality control standards
  • Report quality defects or production concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Complete and update daily production paperwork, including production reports, PPLH, TAKT, and scrap reports
  • Use SAP handheld scanners, calculators, printers, calipers, and other workplace tools
  • Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Participate in Elimination of Waste Team meetings
  • Support company goals, safety standards, and production objectives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
