About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role involves operating CNC machines, ensuring precision, and contributing to our production goals. The CNC II position also provides guidance to CNC I operators and troubleshoots advanced issues. We value teamwork, integrity, drive, and initiative.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-3 years CNC operations experience; HAAS and Fidal CNC Machines
  • 3-5 years experience for a CNC II role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings & schematics
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions within one’s own judgment
  • 2D & 3D programming skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production
  • Ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks, G-code & Master CAM software highly preferred
  • Availability to train on 1st Shift a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Reviews work orders, blueprints, specifications, or setup instructions to determine dimensional specifications, setup requirements, materials, and procedures.
  • Installs cutting tools and workpiece holders.
  • Lifts raw materials to position and secure them on the machine table or in a holding fixture.
  • Edits programs and enters commands to operate the machine.
  • Monitors machine operations and control panel displays to detect malfunctions and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Stops machine operations according to prescribed sequences.
  • Uses precision measuring instruments to check finished workpiece dimensions.
  • Confers with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors.
  • Maintains cleanliness and functionality of machines, tools, parts, and work areas.
  • Corrects safety hazards and reports those unable to correct to supervisors or safety representatives.
  • Participates in LEAN initiatives.
  • Provides guidance and general oversight of CNC I operator(s) (for CNC II role).
  • Troubleshoots and problem-solves advanced issues on CNC machines (for CNC II role).
