About The Position

Reporting to the Production & Maintenance Manager, The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts used in the tire manufacturing process. This is a hands-on role that plays a key part in our production line, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Vocational training in machining.
Minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
Knowledge of 3 axis vertical CNC mills.
Proficiency using calipers, micrometers and measuring instruments to examine parts adequately.
Excellent math and computer skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds.
La maîtrise du français est essentielle.
Knowledge and basic proficiency in MS Excel.

Nice To Haves

La connaissance de l’anglais constitue un atout.
Knowledge of the automotive industry would be an asset.
Ability to operate a forklift would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Review work orders and to determine machining operations.
Set up and operate machine tools to perform repetitive machining operations such as milling, drilling, boring, or other machining operations.
Check the dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Load and position proper material on to CNC.
Select proper tooling and programs as per job requirements on all machines.
Monitor material to ensure quality standards are met.
Properly label and organize parts to ensure production flow.
Assist other operations departments when in the slow season and workload is low.
Communicate with management and coworkers to achieve goals.
Maintain and clean machinery and workspace.
Follow shop safety standards at all times.
