Operators use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. CNC Operators must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. The goal is to produce high quality parts to customer specifications. Requirements

Mechanical inclination and basic knowledge of manufacturing.
Prior experience as a CNC machine operator is strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety, quality, and engineering procedures.
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
Load and unload materials, handling raw materials and parts on the machines.
Visually inspect and use hand gauges to measure finished products and compare against requirements to ensure parts meet specifications.
Record daily production data such as scrap and efficiency.
Perform SPC checks as per Control Plan and Work Instructions, if required.
Follow 5S guidelines to keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Conduct daily checks and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
