About The Position

VMAC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our VRP team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components that meet VMAC's quality and production standards.

Requirements

Secondary school diploma or GED equivalent.
Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic.
Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
High energy level with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
Able to raise or lower an object (up to 50lbs) from one level to another.

Nice To Haves

Preferred work experience or post-Secondary related education in CNC Turning and/or Machining Centers.

Responsibilities

Be capable of working on manual Milling machines, Lathes, Drill presses and grinding equipment.
Follow drawings when machining products.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and communicate bottlenecks with Supervisor.
Improve efficiency and quality of machining processes and products.
Keep work area clean and organized, implement and maintain 5S organization.
Follow the production schedule and prioritize daily work accordingly.
Work/Cross Train on multiple CNC Machines.
Understand and follow the “Kanban” type systems in current use.
Capable of measuring to tight tolerances using a variety of measuring devices.
Complete Dimensional Inspection reports.
Perform regular maintenance on machines.
Other duties as required.
