This position requires proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and making corrections and adjustments to CNC lathe equipment, including life tooling. The operator will be responsible for making insert changes and adjusting equipment to bring parts to size. Familiarity with various gauging and measuring devices is essential for performing quality inspections to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications. The role also involves learning and using the Data Log system at the machines and performing preventative maintenance tasks, such as adding coolant, checking concentration, removing chip buildup, greasing chucks, checking and adding oil, and changing scrap barrels. The ability to read blueprints and adapt to new equipment or changes is crucial. Good math skills are also required. The operator will participate in continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and enhance productivity and quality. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor are also part of the responsibilities. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
