About The Position

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand part requirements, dimensions, and tolerances Set up CNC machines by selecting and securing fixtures, tools, attachments, and materials Measure, mark, and prepare materials for machining operations Start and monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently Identify and troubleshoot issues, making adjustments to machine controls as needed Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, CMM, etc.) to ensure accuracy Verify first-piece quality before continuing production runs Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes Maintain a safe and organized work environment Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of experience or formal training in CNC machine setup and operation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, CMM, etc.)
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Certification or Associates degree in CNC machining
  • 5+ years’ experience in set up and operation of CNC mills, lathes, and/or laser cutting machines
  • Experience operating and programming a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Knowledge of metallurgical properties or related course work
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
