About The Position
This is a vacant position at a Tier 1 Supplier to the Automotive and Military Industries. Our exceptional engineering team provides solutions for customers on their most challenging programs. These programs are typically complex which requires unique solutions to launch quickly. We are the “go to” solutions provider for Ford Motor Company and Laser Access, specializing in CNC Machining and Assembly of custom engineered components. As a small company that is very team oriented, we believe that growth and opportunities are most important in the workplace. We are looking for applicants that want to grow with the company and see what is possible to achieve year after year.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to work in a shop setting
- Good math and analytical skills
- Good written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card')
Responsibilities
- Running machines and producing good parts.
- Qualifying parts with gages and metrology equipment.
- Reading and comprehending technical drawings and GD&T.
- Maintaining a clean work environment and 5S standards.
- Achieving production rates or above and suggesting changes to optimize workflow.
- Properly loading and unloading parts into machines.
- Clocking in and out of jobs and logging time correctly.
- Checking parts with various types of metrology equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Pin Gages, Thread Gages, Ring Gages, Refractometer, Scales).
- Qualifying good and bad parts and sorting accordingly.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
