Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and writing skills, communication skills, basic math (including fractions and decimals), remember, reason, analyze and problem solve
• Per 8-12 hr. shift (stand up to 8 hrs., walk up to 4 hrs.), occasionally (bend, squat, balance, push/pull), occasionally (reach above shoulder level, kneel).
• Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 24 lbs., occasionally from 25 to 50 lbs.).
• Must be able to hear, see, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands.
• Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to heat, dust, solvents, and oil.
• Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
• Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring devices.
• Some knowledge of CNC programming and controls preferred.
• Prior experience operating CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate automatic and CNC lathes, mills, or centerless grinder.
• Change tooling as needed.
• Operate 1 or 2 machines by self or 3 or more with assistance of another operator or automation.
• Help solve machining problems related to your assigned machine.
• Inspect parts per print specifications.
• Help train and assist new operators.
• Able to read and change CNC programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
