Requirements
- Machining fundamentals and basic operation skills
- Shop arithmetic
- Print reading and measuring procedures
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, cooperative and positive behavior
- Minimum of 6 months machine operation experience in manufacturing environment
- Two years of shop-related high school or vocational education, supplemented with on-the-job training in applied machine shop preferred
Nice To Haves
- Hands on CNC Experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, performing a standard series of progressive machining operations to close and exacting tolerances.
- Changes tools and assists with or performs standard set-ups.
- Following detailed instructions, operates CNC and other machines to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and setups made and maintained by others
- Drilling, boring, milling, turning and balancing, as required
- Working from detailed process instructions
- Using precision measuring instruments or limit gauges to check machine positioning
- Inspecting your own work for quality
- Meeting rate for each part, while maintaining quality
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Taking responsibility for equipment care and basic maintenance
- Assisting other operators as needed
- Recognizing own capabilities and taking initiative to continually improve
- Performing other duties as assigned
