Requirements

  • Ability to pass a tape measure test.
  • Basic manufacturing or shop experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and quality.
  • Ability to safely operate CNC cutting equipment following training.
  • Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift).
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated heights when necessary.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity to inspect materials.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned CNC cutting equipment, including Plasma, Shear, or Bandsaw machines.
  • Prepare, load, and properly align materials prior to cutting operations.
  • Follow job instructions, programs, and drawings to complete cutting tasks.
  • Adjust basic machine settings to accommodate material size and thickness.
  • Measure and verify cut dimensions using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Identify obvious material defects before and after cutting operations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements during machine operation.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Dispose of scrap materials properly and maintain a clean work area.
  • Communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, or material discrepancies to supervision.
