About The Position

This role involves operating and adjusting multiple semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations. The operator will follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications. The position requires knowledge of operations including drilling, boring, milling, and turning. The operator must be able to recognize tooling and procedures where tolerances are close, check parts for conformance to specifications, use measurement devices, change tools, and manipulate machine programs. Training is available for this position.

Requirements

Ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications, or equivalent.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of operations including drilling, boring, and milling, turning, etc.
Recognizes tooling and procedures where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain
Check parts for conformance to specifications
Ability to use measurement devices
Ability to change tools, manipulate machine program
