About The Position

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company that is a leading provider of aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions that safely & reliably extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture and repair critical turbine components for a range of engine platforms. Our solutions support the engines running the aerospace, energy and defense industries around the world. This role is for a CNC Operator to join our Blade Manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll set up, program, and operate CNC and conventional machines used to manufacture critical aerospace components. At Chromalloy Carson City, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams manufacture and repair critical aerospace components used throughout the global aviation industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
  • Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of CNC machining or machine operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC and conventional machines
  • Load and edit machine programs as needed
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials
  • Produce parts to engineering and production specifications
  • Inspect and measure parts using precision measuring tools
  • Perform minor part modifications and finishing work
  • Follow assembly, production, and quality requirements
  • Utilize computerized production tracking systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Support 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives
