About The Position

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet engineering and quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high-quality production in a safe, efficient work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification in machining preferred.
1–3 years of experience in CNC machining or a related manufacturing role.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, G-code interpretation, and CNC control operation.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
Basic math and measurement skills; attention to detail is essential.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.

Nice To Haves

Experience with multiple-axis CNC machines.
Knowledge of tooling setup and optimization for production efficiency.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or drills per job specifications and work orders.
Load and secure raw materials and tools in machines for optimal performance.
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure precise tolerances and compliance with specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs accurately.
Perform minor program edits and make necessary tool changes.
Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning.
Report mechanical or operational issues promptly to the supervisor.
Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
Work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to resolve production challenges and improve processes.
