About The Position

This position operates CNC machines to produce high-quality fasteners. The role involves setting up and calibrating machines, maintaining specifications through various operations, measuring, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting controls, sharpening and replacing tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures. The CNC Operator is responsible for inspecting finished products, resolving machine-related problems, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. They also ensure continuity between shifts by documenting and communicating actions and needs. This is a safety-sensitive position, and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience operating CNC machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality fasteners
• Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related problems
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
