About The Position

IronRoad is seeking an experienced, results-oriented 1st shift CNC Operator (both experienced and entry level applications are welcomed) who has a great vibe for our Cincinnati, Ohio client. Our client's business is comprised of the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines. The CNC Operator will report directly to the Production Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of CNC machining experience for entry level $22.00 – 25.00
5 years of CNC machining for experienced level $28.00 – 32.00
General PC knowledge
Knowledge of AS400 system
Knowledge of CNC Turning/Mill Machine
Capable of handling 50 lb. to 200 lb. valve bodies with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, and hoists.
The ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time.
Ability to work weekends and overtime when scheduled.

Responsibilities

Machine Operation/production
Load/unload parts within qualified time given
Must be able to distinguish and identify proper tooling/collects/fixtures and jaws for efficient set-up
Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
Observes machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper.
Adjust machine to control part process.
Post edits CNC program to fine tune process for optimum performance with assistance of a CNC Op/Programmer, lead person or programmer; submit changes to programmer
Able to perform "first-piece" in-process inspection
